Softcover, edition of 300 numbered and signed copies.
Unfortunately this book is in german language only and is no fun without understanding the words. For all of you, who can read german or are willing to use a translation tool, the book is highly recommended anyway.
It is a crazy book with carefully photographed BW-images that depict municipal office buildings in the city of Saarbruecken (Germany) and captions with the names of the offices shown.
Sounds boring, but it is tremendously exciting, instructive and downright funny. If in the ›Office for Parks, Forests and Agriculture‹ a single dried palm tree stands behind the window or at the ›State Office for Environmental Protection‹ three large air conditioners hum on the facade, the amusement is guaranteed.
The author recommends: ›Apply now for an application procedure for issuance of a preliminary final art certificate for use as proof of ownership of an art object.‹
From Benedict Steinmetz we would like to see more pearls of this kind. (Hannes Wanderer)
