Whether as a means of enjoyment or a mechanical act, as a social moment or a solitary pleasure – what and how we eat not only provides information about our social history, but also about our emotional state; it is fundamental to social coexistence and individual expression. Thus, in We Share the Meal, the complex relationship with food is explored through the personal relationship of the portrayed. She takes us on a fictional journey, as all forms of social coexistence are connected by narratives that emerge not least at the dinner table. We Share the Meal is the result of a year-long collaboration between photographer Lars Borges and actress Luzie Kurth, a dialogue between performing and visual arts.
