Cronica insingerata a Bucurestiului in revolutie (The Insurgent Chronicle of Bucharest in Revolution), Tineretul Liber, 1990, Bucarest

"... This moment was the turning point for the revolution against the brutal regime that had begun in Timișoara on the 16th. By the next day the military, seeing the writing on the wall, had turned against the regime and Ceaușescu and his wife Elena fled briefly in a helicopter only to be arrested hours later. On the 24th both were executed by firing squad. 

.. Part of the power of the book comes by way of the production and design. The low-fi quality of the printing on uncoated stock, which I assume was unintentional, lends to a chalky, gritty atmosphere; cold, much like the winter days the event played out upon. The design is wonderfully clunky and can't be reigned in by the red rectangular borders assigned to each page. It feels imperfect, quickly assembled, a collective effort like the album it purports to be; touched by hands, not just of those behind the scenes of the book's making, but those in the pictures which brought about change." (Jeffrey Ladd)
