Riccardo Banfi - Tnx, Yes I am writing A Book, 2015, Milano

Tnx, the first photographic book by Riccardo Banfi, is first of all a book about TENAX in Florence, one of the most celebrated venues in the Italian house music scene, but it is also a new chapter in an extensive research about music culture, and particularly electronic and clubbing. The pictures in Tnx origin from this wider corpus, and they throw us in the middle of TENAX’s crowd and corridors, with a rhythmical and pressing sequence. Banfi sees the club as a context of entertainment, a place of freedom and one of the possible spaces for contemporary rituals concerning the identification with a group, from the role of individuals in a community to social interactions.
